we got up early to get ready to check out. didn't forget to fix our breakfast at the hotel. we needed to be at the jetty to change our ticket 1 hour before the ferry left. we managed to get there in time and got the ticket changed. i had to beg the rude lady at the counter to let us change our ticket. she impolitely asked me why. i told her we had a sick child and needed him to get back to thailand to see the doctor. it was true. phun got crankier on the last day bc he caught a cold from the rain..
we tought the ferry left at 9.30 am, instead it left at 10.30 am. so we waited at the starbucks inside the jetty. it was our plan on the first day when arriving that we would sit there relishing tea and coffee before leaving for home..
at 10 am, we walked to the immigration, stamped out and boarded the ferry. in 45 mins, we were in our mother's land. after lunch, we drove back to songkhla. home sweet home, baby!!
